Ernie Ball precision manufacturer all of their Extra Slinky strings to the highest of standard and most exact specifications. To make the wound strings, Ernie Ball use a nickel plated steel wire wrapped around a hex shaped steel core wire. The specially tempered, tin plated, high carbon steel plain strings produce a well balanced tone.
